MEKONG BIKE TOUR

Special way to explore Mekong Delta in Viet Nam is by bike. It is beautiful countryside, and very nice people and supper kind villager that you will see in backroad of Vietnam or backroad of Mekong Delta Vietnam.

In Mekong Delta has two seasonal that is rain and dry season. Rain season is from May to November, but may to July it not much rain, it has rain about 20 – 30 minutes after 1 week or after five days. And from august to November that much rain like after one day or two days it has a rain about 1 hour or more.

So the best time in a year for biking trip in Mekong Delta in Viet Nam is end of November to March. This time is cooler than and nice temperature.

Traveler route: 

1. Cambodia – Chau Doc: chau Doc is a city border with Cambodia, most traveler take speedboat from Phnompenh to Chau Doc then starting explore Mekong Viet Nam by bike or by car or by bus. With people love biking so they can not leave it, you can make a trip with Can Tho Bike Tours for few days biking in Mekong start from Chau Doc. 

The trip Chau Doc – Long Xuyen – Can Tho for 2day 1night or Chau Doc – Long Xuyen – Can Tho – Vinh Long – Ben Tre – Ho Chi Minh for 5 days 4 nights. It is still more route to do in Mekong Delta, if you want stay longer in Mekong Delta Viet Nam.

2. Ho Chi Minh – Chau Doc – Cambodia: if you would like to do biking trip you can contact Can Tho Bike Tours will arrange for your trip. This route you will start from Ho Chi Minh city, you will drive to Long An then pedal in Backroad to My Tho city, after visit around My Tho by boat you will continue by bike to village in Ben Tre for stay at Homestay/hotel. Next morning you will biking to Vinh Long, you will pedal under coconut shady to Vinh Long, today you will see real life and authentic Mekong. And you will overnight in Vinh Long countryside.

Next day, you will explore in Vinh Long countryside to Can Tho. This day you will deep in village to see local life and beautiful landscape.

This day you will do two shot pedal and end at place near by Can Tho then drive to Can Tho for overnight.

Countrysid in Vinh Long is very nice and authentic.

Next day, you will start pedal from Can Tho to Long Xuyen. In the morning you will take boat to visit Cai Rang Floating Market  then pedal to Long Xuyen, today you will pedal about 70km from Cai Rang – Thoi Lai – Co Do – Long Xuyen all most countryside and village. You will overnight in Long Xuyen.

Next day, you will pedal on countryside with 70km to Chau Doc. Today you see Ba Chuc massacre where evidence war between Vietnam and Pon Pot in 1978, then you will visit nature reserve Tra Su Cajuput Forest. Then overnight in Chau Doc. 

Next morning, you will take early boat to Phnom Penh at 7:30 AM.

You will end Biking Trip in Mekong Delta Viet Nam.
