Before you cook so you will follow local guide to local market to take a look around local market that you will see all freshest and colorful market.

After you walk and search some ingredients for cooking, you will drive to family in village to cook with family.

You will do any foods before you have lunch. You will make fried roll ( Cha Gio) is famous in Vietnam and difference from North to south with tasting. Some places they like to put shrimp and meat, some places they like only meat, and some places they like to put in fried roll is crab’s meat… You know in southern Viet Nam that the foods are sweeter than other places, but I don’t know the reason why? Some reasons as countyside, water or so on. People in Mekong is honest too and maybe sweet too.

The food mixed between sour and sweet that you call sweet and sour soup with fish or shrimp. The day time all most local work under sun, so some time very hot, and when they have lunch or dinner that they love a bowl sweet and sour soup with fish. Fish are famous in Mekong, that they trap or fishing so easy for. Local have lunch or dinner they alway mix soup and rice together, why? 

One more dish is not lack in any meals is shrimp or fish will be caramelized and braised. It is cooked in clay pot with fish sauce and peper. This food is common in meal in Mekong, any family cooked this dish and difference taste like pro chef or new chef.

And one more dish is realy need it that is stir fried morning glory with garlic. Why they cho Morning glory? It easy grow around their garden and quickly harvest, about 15 days.

About desert, fresh fruit is the best, but some family they love to make cakes from rice, from tapioca, from banana… you will learn all foods with local on this trip and taste.

After cooking, you will take a nap if you still time in Can Tho. Then you will say good bye the family before you will back to your hotel by taxi/grab on your own cost. End your cooking class in the day go out for activities.
