DAY1: CAN THO – VUNG LIEM / SAI GON – VUNG LIEM ( L,D)
Check out Can Tho, departure to Vung Liem about 1,5hrs drive from Can Tho.
Vung Liem is a district of Vinh Long province, and Vung border with Tra Vinh Province. Today you will get inside of countryside where you stay by the River border Vung Liem and Tra Vinh.
On the way, you will stop to see an Ancient Pagoda Phu Ly is a village of kh’mer before, take a walk around pagoda to enjoy peaceful place.
Then continue drive to Vung Liem where you will check in Homestay for overnight. In the afternoon after lunch about 14;30 you will do cycling along village to see countryside and local life. You will visit a family make stick fire old ( Calophyllum), in the old day local use this for lamp. Continue to see the wife sewing water coconut leaves for roof’s house and try to get experiences with her. Then continue see other family make pop rice then taste. More exciting to cycling around countryside that you will see local plant, harvesting, and do farming along the way with 10 km cycling today.
Back to your homestay and rest to 18:00 meeting with Veteran, who has experiences in Vietnam War. You will be shared about his story about the war time and he has some skill about instruments and sing some song. Back to your homestay to enjoy the dinner before go to bed.
DAY 2: VUNG LIEM – CAN THO / SAI GON
In the morning, high reccommended to get up early to take the boat trip at 6:00 ( sometime is private boat) or at 8:30 join with more people in one boat. And you will enjoy local market in this town where you can see local and culture.
This morning, you will visit Cao Dai Temple, it is a religion in Viet Nam. And also visit a coconut factory where local buy coconut of local and make some product from the coconut hulls to export. Then take boat back to homestay for breakfast and rest to walk around then check out at 11:30 then back to Can Tho or Sai Gon.
End 2D1N in Mekong Delta.
